Penneys’ SS17 homewares collections are here and we’re in love. Can you say tropical prints and super luxe tones? Here’s your first look at Hawaiian Noir.
Since January blues have well and truly kicked in (and we’re all still getting over that flu-head-cold-cough-thing that everyone had) we’ve been in need of a breath of fresh air and a new start, both literally and spiritually, and a few new interior pieces can do that beautifully. A bit strapped for cash after the Christmas splurge? No worries (us too) – that’s what Penneys is for. Their Spring/Summer homeware offering is seriously slick. Of the new trends emerging this year, we’re especially loving Hawaiian Noir.
The collection is defined by bold botanical prints and luscious colours, vintage Hawaiian palm trees patterns and willows, leaf, pineapple, wildlife, and forestry adorned pieces. It’s definitely a bold interior direction – you’ve got to be ready to embrace vibrant lime greens, dark indigo blues, and rich golds. But you don’t have to commit wholly – take a couple of cushions, or one of the gold accessories and relish them as talking-point pieces rather than decking your whole living room out in the trend.
The pineapple bookends and elephant decorations are some of our favourites.
Introducing such vibrancy and boldness into your home can be quite scary, we get you. But, once you start adding a few pieces and being brave you won’t look back. Remember when you said, “New Year, New Me”?
Got a few minutes? There are more gorgeous pieces from Penneys in our gallery, so take a sneaky peak while you’re here.
