Maybe it’s a response to the austere and minimal interior vibe that took hold last year, but we’ve noticed Art Deco decor is having a moment right now. Short for les arts decoratifs, this style became big in France just before World War I and it’s all about decadence, a touch of glamour and gold, geometrical shapes mixed with soft curves. Think Great Gatsby, The Stella Theatre and New York’s Chrysler building. We’ve been itching to incorporate our own 1920s touch into our homes so we’ve gone and scoured the stores for the best art deco-inspired pieces.
