Every season has its definitive beauty trend, its must-have hairstyle, its one-to-watch in Celebville. In the world of interiors, 2017 is all about one particular colour. Something that is bright, zingy, refreshing, eye-catching but still very sophisticated and classy. It sits somewhere between lemon and lime and it’s been around for a long time; Chartreuse. It’s popping up left right and centre in every homeware’s SS17 lookbook and we’ve gone bananas for it.
Whether you incorporate a little Chartreuse with a painted internal door, or you work it in with soft furnishings, it can instantly energise your home, especially as we dust the cobwebs of winter off (where we shrouded ourselves in all kinds of grey).
Browse our gallery above for all the Chartreuse inspiration (it’s named after a French alcohol brand of the same hue) you need.
When it comes to styling at home, this colour is best left alone. It works wonders with a rich brown leather, earthy wood and it sits beautifully with grey – which means all of those grey investments were well worth it. It will work really well with gold and brass accessories. Keep the rest of your palette natural and let the Chartreuse do its thing, or, if you’re feeling brave, we think it looks gorgeous next to a soft teal – or, if you go tropical, try sea blues (see Penneys below).
