We love when Dulux reveals its colour of the year. It gives us an insight into the interiors mood and vibe for the year ahead and always points us in the direction of the trends that are set to be embraced. This year more of us than ever have been changing up our homes and trying out new wall colours, so for those of you who are still making home improvements you’re going to want to check this out.
This year, the colour afficionados have chosen a bolstering and balancing new shade that will connect us back to nature and the simple things. The aptly named Dulux Brave Ground is a warm, natural colour that stands on its own as a powerful neutral. We love its earthy vibes, and for those of us who are a little more colour-shy, this is the perfect shade to use as a backdrop to your interior accessorries.
Each year a team of designers, architects, colour creatives and trend experts from the world of design work alongside Dulux to forecast the following years colour. In the face of a global pandemic, they shifted their focus to a colour that would help embolden homeoweners.
Irish Dulux Colour Consultant Cora Collins says of the new hue, “2020 saw Irish people look to paint colour to make positive changes in their homes. They stretched themselves by spring boarding outside their comfort zones to make interior changes that they may have put on the long finger in the world as we used to knew it.”
Dulux Brave Ground is available from stockists through colour mixing in any finish for walls and wood. The Diamond finish costs €72.95 for 5 litres, visit Dulux.ie for more.
