GAFF X April & The Bear: The Clueless-Inspired Wrapping Guide – GAFF Interiors

GAFF X April & The Bear: The Clueless-Inspired Wrapping Guide

Clueless: Undoubtedly  one of our favourite movies of all time. And while Cher’s mansion is out of our GAFF budget, her style inspo definitely isn’t. Which is why when we spotted these gorgeous Clueless-inspired pressies by April & The Bear at their pop-up shop last week we got a little giddy.

This is the perfect way to vent our creativity and throw back to the 90s this Christmas. Glitter and gold be damned – here’s the team’s guide to Clueless-inspired wrapping for a very, “AS IF” Christmas.  Over to you, April & The Bear, to tell us how to do it.

“So if your wrapping is usually like a Monet (from far away, it’s okay, but up close, it’s a big old mess) then its time to change your stripes and get cracking on recreating Cher’s signature check.”

“If Cher and Dionne did there own wrapping (ugh, as if!) we think it would look a little something like this. But seriously, for those of us that have a way normal life this is a so simple and effective, even for the gift-assembly challenged among us.”

Here’s the 411:

1. Wrap your present in classic brown kraft paper
2. Pick your colour scheme, we like monochrome with a splash of neon. Using one patterned washi tape and two to three solid colour washi tapes start to wind around your gift

3. Make sure you weave the tapes in between one another as you lay out the lines horizontally and vertically in order to get a real fabric look.

4. And BOOM, you’ve just created a fun, festive wrapping sensation that will look PHAT under the Christmas tree!

Be sure and haul ass to their pop-up shop in Thirty Four Café, Portobello in order to get your hands on these cool washi tapes. And remember ‘Tis a far, far better thing doing stuff for other people’ and give yourself snaps for all the awesome wrapping.

Thanks guys!
