First Look: Our French Connection Autumn/Winter Homeware Wishlist – GAFF Interiors

First Look: Our French Connection Autumn/Winter Homeware Wishlist

Happy November, GAFFers! One of our favourite discoveries of this year was the homewares offering at French Connection, and now that we are fully welcoming all things Hygge and cosy into our homes as we hunker down for the hibernating months, we thought it was the perfect time to head in-store and select some of our favourite pieces.

The French Connection Dublin store in the Powerscourt Townhouse has become a go-to for us – their accessories, rugs and unusual investment furniture pieces are well worth a look if you’re in search of a unique home update. We wanted to share some of the best on-trend key pieces of the season, sure to inspire you (and us) to spruce up our interiors in time for winter.

Ground Rules

One of our favourite things to instantly update a room for a new season is to swap out your rug, and the selection at French Connection is GAFF-worthy, let us tell you. We’d describe the autumn/winter collection as boho-chic and Eastern-inspired, especially with the addition of these pouffes and floor cushions. We love this Transverse rug which you might be surprised to hear is made from recycled denim and natural jute, making it an eco-friendly and hard-wearing home essential.

As for those floor cushions, we can’t get enough of them. If you can’t quite stretch to a new sofa this year, a couple of these beauties will instantly lift your living room set up.

Let’s Talk Texture

Concrete candle, €28 at French Connection Dublin

Concrete is still a massive trend this year (might we remind you of the to-die-for concrete floors we discovered at Cathy O’Donohue and Darran Heaney’s house tours? Swoon.) Just a hint of concrete in a bathroom or countertop can give it an instant texture boost, creating a new focus in the room and adding that textured feel in a space. These small but perfect concrete candles are affordable and can be reused after they’ve burned out as candle holders or for storage.

Ceramic Magic

This time of the year is when team GAFF really gets into the hosting spirit – friends calling for dinner, cosy weekend brunches. When it comes to feasting, we’re all about updating the essentials, like these beautiful ceramic pieces. You know how much we adore a rustic table setting, and these will do all the hard work for you. Simply pair them with some linen napkins and a linen tablecloth, some dried flowers (very in right now) and you’re good to serve. We promise your guests will be wowed.

High Climbers

Ok, Ok, we know we always banging on about how versatile a wooden ladder can be in the home (perfect for hanging towels in the bathroom, creating a Scandi-cool festive scene or simply for creating a statement piece in the hallway or living room), but believe us, it really is a proper investment piece. We adore this minimalist one from French Connection. Treat yourself or add it to your festive wishlist, immediately.

For the entire range of autumn/winter homeware essentials, pop into French Connection in the Powerscourt Centre and tag us with your purchase on Instagram at @gaffinteriors.
